Taste of AfriKin is South Florida's premier African food and Caribbean food festival, and one of the most significant food events on the cultural calendar in North America. Every Labor Day weekend, chefs from across the Global African diaspora bring their finest traditions to one table in Downtown North Miami, creating an evening that is as much about identity and legacy as it is about extraordinary food.
This is not community programming. This is cultural authority: a gathering where the world's richest food traditions are treated with the reverence they deserve. Where the craft of African and Caribbean cuisine is elevated to the global stage it has always deserved.
Officially presented with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and the City of North Miami, Taste of AfriKin is a destination event that draws food lovers, cultural leaders, culinary professionals, and international visitors who understand that the African diaspora table is one of the most dynamic and underrepresented forces in global cuisine.

One ticket is your full pass to the evening: entry to the festival, unlimited food tastings from all 15 participating countries, cocktails and beverages, access to the Jollof rice Cook-Off, and live performances. The Art and the Beautiful Game exhibition and vendor village are also open to browse throughout Maison AfriKin, with artwork, gift shop, and vendor items available for purchase separately.
