Return to the Giants: A Call to Wellness, Balance, and AfriKin Purpose

Too many of our brothers and sisters are leaving this realm sooner than they were meant to. We’re losing too many good souls—people like our beloved brother Chief Nathaniel Styles, whose recent passing was a deep and unexpected blow. Just days before, we were together on IG Live, sharing laughter, wisdom, and connection. And now—he is gone. The Big Man above has His plans, no doubt, but here in this realm, we must remember: we have power. The power to choose. The power to pivot. The power to live.

We are in a time where our health—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual—is under siege. We see it. We feel it. Our people are walking around wounded, burdened by trauma, misguided by false narratives, poisoned by bad habits, and isolated in a society that continues to reward selfishness and negativity. But we are AfriKin—and we do not fold.

It is imperative that we begin holding ourselves accountable for the space we occupy. We must reclaim our wellness. Yes, life is short and meant to be enjoyed—but balance is the key. A life of livity, rooted in mindful choices, is the path forward. It is time to rise. To do the things that make life whole—healthy eating, regular movement, time in nature, deeper connection, reading, reflection, service to others, and spiritual grounding.

You carry a Soul within this vessel of a body. You have a duty to protect it. To live righteously, to nourish your body with real, life-giving foods, to surround yourself with light and clarity. To be intentional in thought. To have a pure heart. Yes, there is dark energy around us, seeking to pull us down—but remember: God is grandiose. You are covered. But you must guard that blessing with every decision you make.

There is no time to waste. Too many are being traumatized, manipulated, and led astray. The so-called gurus and influencers are dishing out prescriptions for problems they helped create, while our communities suffer the fallout—nervous breakdowns, broken homes, shattered spirits.

I write not from a place of despair, but of hope. Even more hope today than I had yesterday. I see the light breaking through the cracks. Sir Lewis Hamilton said, “I don’t need it to be easy—I just need it to be possible.” And like Hov said: “We do difficult in a day, impossible in a week.” That’s the frequency. That’s the energy we need.

Yes, the economy is in disarray. Yes, leadership feels lacking. But remember: we are the currency. Community is our greatest asset. The people still have the power. And we must wield it—with care, with wisdom, with intention.

We are living in a time of revelation. Illusions are falling. The house of cards is collapsing. Truth is rising from the ashes. And you must ask yourself: on what side of history do I stand?

It is time to choose you. Your health. Your joy. Your evolution. And sometimes, that means detaching from those you love if their energy no longer aligns. You must be willing to stand alone if it means standing in truth. When the frequencies match, you can meet again—but until then, protect your peace.

You can begin again. It is never too late to pivot. And for those needing guidance, here are:

9 Steps to a Better You

Honor your temple – Eat for nourishment, not convenience.

Move with intention – Walk, stretch, dance—just move daily.

Feed your mind
– Read, reflect, and question everything.

Disconnect to reconnect
– Limit toxic media and lean into nature.

Practice gratitude
– Speak life over yourself every morning.

Guard your energy – Protect your circle. Choose wisely who you allow in.

Serve others – Help those who can’t help themselves. We rise by lifting.

Seek stillness – Pray. Meditate. Journal. Listen.

Embrace your heritage
– Know who you are and whose you are.

This message is brought to you by AfriKin—a movement, a safe space, a celebration of us. Founded with love and vision, AfriKin is where we explore, express, and elevate. A platform made for us, by us. A reminder of the immense value we bring to this world.

I have just returned from a spiritual pilgrimage to Kemet—modern-day Egypt—where I stood among the ruins, temples, and pyramids. The energy of our ancestors still resonates in those stones. Giants once walked those lands—and we are their descendants. It’s time to remember who we are. And who we must become again.
