Taste of AfriKin: Miami Spice 2025

Miami's African & Caribbean Food Festival returns — bigger, bolder, and more flavorful than ever. A culinary love letter to the Black World.

Who is ready to be seduced by Jollof Rice?

Taste of AfriKin is back this Labor Day Weekend with the most anticipated cultural celebration in South Florida — a festival where the Caribbean meets Africa, and the flavors of the Black World come alive on every plate.

More Than a Food Festival

This is an Afro-fusion experience that unites culture, cuisine, art, music, and community under one roof.

A Culinary Tour of the Black World

The Taste of AfriKin: Miami Spice 2025 Edition promises an unforgettable journey across the African continent and the diaspora. This year's festival brings together renowned chefs from more than 20 countries — serving signature dishes, bold spices, and rare specialties that span the full breadth of the Black culinary world.

From the smoky jerk of Jamaica to the soulful egusi stews of Nigeria, the spice-laden curries of Trinidad & Tobago, the deep flavors of Haitian griot, and the irresistible pepperpot of Guyana — each dish tells a story. A legacy of tradition, migration, and innovation.

The Legendary Jollof Cook-Off

The crown jewel of the festival is back. Ghana. Nigeria. Senegal. Who will claim the ultimate bragging rights in the fierce battle of Jollof Rice supremacy?

This high-stakes showdown has become a fan favorite — a spirited clash of national pride, culinary mastery, and unforgettable flavor. Attendees will taste, cheer, and cast their votes in this flavorful rivalry of the ages.

Music, Dance, Art & Culture

Taste of AfriKin is not only about food — it is about the soul of the diaspora. Live performances spanning Afrobeat, Reggae, Soca, Jazz, R&B, and Hip-Hop feature music by Adonai — Sound of the Future and the Rozz Parker Band. Traditional drum and dance ensembles share the stage with contemporary Afrobeats and Caribbean soca. Visual art installations reflect the beauty, struggles, and triumphs of the Black World. And the Vendor Village brings handcrafted goods, Afro-Caribbean fashion, accessories, and lifestyle brands that celebrate heritage and creativity.

Sip on Afro-inspired cocktails, explore unique crafts, and immerse yourself in the energy of cultural fusion.
