Sinenkosi Msomi

Sinenkosi Msomi (b. 1995, Mbabane, Eswatini) is a self-taught conceptual photographer and visual artist from Eswatini whose work examines cultural heritage, youth identity, and emotional expression. Drawing from childhood memories, inner feelings, and the human connection to nature, he creates staged, symbolic imagery that blends storytelling with activism. Msomi’s work has been collected internationally, including in Finland, the USA, Germany, and South Africa, and is displayed in public and institutional spaces such as the Hilton Hotel, American Spaces at the Eswatini National Library, and previously by the American Embassy and British High Commission in Eswatini through Yebo Art Gallery. His accolades include the Social Justice Prize from the Afrochampions x African Union Nefertiti Arts Challenge (2020) and First Prize in the University of British Columbia’s Center for Migration Studies International Contest (2025).
