Nora Musu (b. 1957, Millsburg, Liberia) Nora Musu is a Liberian-American mixed-media artist whose work explores ancestral memory, spirituality, and cultural identity. Born in Madison, Wisconsin and raised in Liberia, she blends West African symbolism with contemporary materials, often using oxidized acrylics embedded with metal to evoke ritual and scarification. Her work has been exhibited at venues including the DuSable Museum, the Harlem Fine Arts Show, and the United Nations, and she is known for uplifting Black women and emerging artists through her practice.
