Biography

Leikun Nahusenay (b. 1982, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) is a visual artist based in Addis Ababa. Working across painting, collage, printmaking, and photography, he explores themes of spirituality, identity, and the connection between body and spirit. His process reflects a meditative approach, often inspired by music and his fascination with line, rhythm, and repetition. A graduate of the Ale School of Fine Arts and Design and the Teferi Mekonnen School, Nahusenay is also a member of the Netsa Art Village collective. His work has been exhibited internationally, including shows in Addis Ababa, Paris, Marseille, Miami, and Dubai. Recent solo and group exhibitions include The Guardians at LeLa Art Gallery (2021) and participation in the Quoz Arts Fest (2023) and the Bamako Encounters Biennale.
