Ibe Ananaba

Ibe Ananaba (b. 1976, Belgium) is a multidisciplinary artist and educator whose work explores the intersection of culture, identity, and social experience through a range of mediums. Known for his dynamic visual storytelling and experimental approach, he examines how sociocultural complexities shape contemporary life. His work has been exhibited internationally, including in Nigeria, South Africa, Senegal, Israel, London, Germany, the United States, and Canada. Featured in major publications such as Fashion: A Second Language and Artists of Nigeria, Ananaba continues to expand the global conversation on African art and fashion. He currently lives and works in Halifax, where he teaches at NSCAD University and is an active member of the Black Artist Network of Nova Scotia and Visual Arts Nova Scotia.
