Biography

Awe Haiwe (b. 2002, Maroua, Cameroon) earned his undergraduate degree in Fine Arts at the University of Maroua and developed a contemporary practice influenced by local aesthetics and social issues. His work has been featured in national and international exhibitions, including a solo show at Hôtel Le Saphir, Motile Art, and Luna Grande Gallery in Turkey. In 2024, he won first place at the Boot Camp organized by African Fund Culture with Bandjoun Station. Recognized as a rising talent in Cameroonian contemporary art, he is currently an artist-in-residence with Knock on Art in Chad.
