Alexandra Antoine (b. 1989, Miami, USA) is an interdisciplinary visual artist and cultural apprentice based in Chicago, Illinois, whose work draws on her Haitian heritage and the traditions of the African diaspora. Her practice spans painting, printmaking, and mixed-media work, often incorporating themes of portraiture, food, travel, and communal memory. Antoine’s work reflects ancestral wisdom, emphasizing the intentionality of labor, repetition, and the embodiment of joy in creative practice. She has been actively involved in community gardening, integrating cultivation and artistic practice, and holds an undergraduate degree from an art school in Chicago. Her work has been exhibited nationally, and collaboration across the African diaspora remains central to her practice. Through her art, Antoine seeks to honor her ancestors, celebrate cultural knowledge, and explore the connections between land, spirit, and community.
