Mosaic Workshop
A Beginner Friendly Workshop with Artist JoKeeta
AfriKin Foundation presents Rhythm and Soul, a beginner friendly mosaic workshop as part of the 12th Annual AfriKin Art Fair's surrounding programming during Miami Art Week 2026.
Led by mosaic and stained glass artist JoKeeta, this two hour workshop introduces newcomers to the art of mosaic making using pre-cut tiles, so guests can focus entirely on color, composition, and creativity rather than cutting glass. Every participant leaves with a finished piece of their own.
Class size is intentionally kept small, between six and twelve participants, so every guest receives step-by-step guidance and personalized attention throughout the session.
Every element of Rhythm and Soul is designed to make mosaic making approachable, rewarding, and genuinely fun, whether guests have never touched a tile before or already work with their hands.
Artist & Philanthropist · Glass & Metal Art
JoKeeta is an artist and philanthropist working across multiple mediums, with a specialization in glass and metal art. Professionally trained and self-taught across a range of art forms, she found a deep connection to stained glass and its capacity to hold history, using the medium to bridge the past and present for the audiences who encounter her work.
Alongside her studio practice, JoKeeta embarks on international mission trips, serving local communities and collecting artifacts that she incorporates into her artwork. Giving back is central to her practice, and she shares a portion of her profits toward changing the world one creation at a time. Her work is represented by Spark The Arts Gallery and Studio in Orlando, Florida.
"JoKeeta's work is personal and moving. Each piece speaks to you. She is artistically gifted and a gem of a person."
